    We are a short five minute walking radius to the Harbour, Mile 0 of the Trans Canada Highway, most restaurants, art galleries, Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Roman Catholic Basilica, Court Houses, City Hall, craft and antique shops, Commissariat House, Colonial Building, Newfoundland Archives, the Kirk, Bannerman Park, Government House - the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland, old cemeteries, George Street night life, live theatre (LSPU Hall), Rennies River Hiking Trail, the Signal Hill hiking trail, and the Provincial Museum.     Guest Room Rooms are different sizes with twin/double/queen/king beds and include remote control color cable TV, sound control, temperature control, telephone and some unusual features: patterned hardwood floor (circa 1894), skylights, curved windows in traditional design.

    We also offer cozy guest rooms with ensuite washrooms, sitting areas, antique furnishings, local artwork, clock radio, alarm, and color cable TV. Some rooms have spectacular view of the old City, Signal Hill, Cabot Tower, and "the Narrows" - the entrance to the City's Harbour. Rates during the peak season from May until October range from $75 for standard accommodations to $225 a night single for our deluxe rooms. Our rates include a full hot breakfast.

    Gower House Bed & Breakfast - St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada Bienvenu!! Gower House is a refurbished heritage townhouse designated by the Newfoundland Historic Trust as a point of interest. It has a 3 star grading under the Canada Select Grading Program.

    We are located in the center of the historic St. John's, roughly halfway between the City's two major hotels - Newfoundland and Delta, about an eight minute drive to St. John's Airport. Center of downtown St. John's historic properties area, air conditioned rooms, full amenities, private offstreet parking.
