 St. Helena, California Bed & Breakfast: In the heart of the Napa Valley, The Wine Country Inn embodies the spirit of Napa, the world's center for wine and food. For twenty-seven years, three generations of the Smith Family have assured that their guests experience the best of the Napa Valley, beginning with their Inn. The Inn sits above expansive vineyards and lush gardens with a sun-drenched pool and star-canopied hot tub. Rooms are large and comfortable with antique furnishings and offer amenities such as family-made quilts, multi-headed showers and separate cottages. The Smiths and their staff are eager to help arrange explorations of the surrounding wineries and restaurants. At the end of the day guests gather with the innkeepers to compare experiences over wine and tables laden with homemade appetizers.

Guest Rooms/Rates

The Wine Country Inn has 24 individually decorated guestrooms in addition to the 5 luxury cottages. All of the rooms have private bathrooms, individual heating and cooling, and telephones. To encourage romantic behavior, we do not have televisions in our rooms. Most of our rooms have wood burning fireplaces (the fires built, stocked and ready to light), balconies or patios and great vineyard views. A few of the rooms even have private outdoor hot tubs.

The Inn has five individually decorated luxury cottages. The open floor plan and amenities for each is very similar, but the location, view and décor vary. Each cottage is 800 sq ft and features a comfortable living area, spacious king-bedded bedroom area, a large, fun bathroom and expansive deck or patio.

Each cottage has a fireplace (two burn wood and three are gas), hardwood floors in the living areas, a cozy reading nook, plaster wall finishes, a wet bar with coffeemaker, refrigerator, icemaker, and eclectic dish set, ceiling fans, an excellent sound system, heated tile or stone floor in the bathroom, individually commissioned stained-glass window over a two-person jetted tub, dual-vanity with heated, fogless mirrors, three-headed walk-in shower, privacy landscaping and personal fountain, and wonderful stone and wood exteriors.

Guest Information

  • Rates are for two persons and include a full buffet breakfast and wine and appetizers in the afternoon.
  • Our pool and Jacuzzi are heated year-round.
  • Fireplaces are useable year-round also.
  • Since we never over-book our rooms, reservations are guaranteed in their entirety.
  • Therefore, we expect you also to honor this reservation in its entirety.
  • In case you need to cancel all or part of your reservation, we must be informed at least 72 hours before check-in time (3 p.m.) of the date(s) being canceled.
  • If your cancellation is made less than 72 hours prior, your deposit will be forfeited.
  • This includes checking out before original departure date(s).
  • A $10 service fee will be charged on all cancellations.
