Introduction
Experience the old-fashioned peace and comfort of...
rural California on a full-time working orange ranch
Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, near the gate to the Giant Sequoia Forest -- Sequoia National Park -- Wicky-Up Ranch Bed and Breakfast Inn gets its name from the Algonquin language and means "shelter" or "home." This working organic orange ranch is a unique farm stay experience, offering guest lodging for a romantic getaway or a serene resting place to relax and rejuvenate as well as an opportunity to walk through the grassy orange groves and observe nature up close.
Your hosts, Jack and Monica, welcome you to step back to the year 1902 as you enter this gracious, California Craftsman-type home built by Illinois State Senator Fred E. Harding. This authentic, two-story, turn-of-the-century home features incomparable Port Orford cedar woodwork on the walls and ceilings. Guest tours will review family history and provide detail on the antiques, paintings and Oriental rugs which have been passed down to the hosts, fourth generation descendants of Senator Harding.

You may enjoy sitting on the veranda, listening to the sounds of water fountains and birdsong, or resting on a hammock under the majestic live oak tree as you watch the changing colors of the sunset. At dusk, relax on a loveseat alongside the fish pond as the garden, aglow with little white lights, brings on the night or treat yourself to a soothing much-needed massage. Spring is in the air. Imagine yourself in early April, enveloped in the heavenly scent of orange blossoms as you sit on the patio or veranda or take a leisurely stroll among the orange trees.
