The Victorian Village of Ferndale is a great vacation spot -- When you make your reservation at The Victorian Inn, you guarantee yourself the perfect headquarters for area traveling, tours, romance, shopping and getting in touch with small town America in a nostalgic, historic and romantic setting.
Located right on Main Street at Ocean Avenue, guests at the Inn have a marvelous place from which to visit the Village and its great shops or a starting point from which to venture further out to the beaches, the redwoods or any of the many attractions this lovely area offers. And at the end of the day, they make their leisurely way "home" to their own special room at the Inn.
Today it is one of the most photographed buildings in Northern California, and still embodies the elegance and romance of the timber boom era. With fourteen and sixteen foot ceilings throughout, the guest rooms are beautifully appointed with vintage fixtures and furnishings, and each has a story to tell.

In 1890 Ira C. Russ, a banker, created this massively built and magnificently detailed monument to luxurious comfort and exquisite craftsmanship. It is entirely of redwood and was one of the most notable architectural beauties of the time.
