Rooms are large and comfortable with antique furnishings and offer amenities such as family-made quilts, multi-headed showers and separate cottages. The Smiths and their staff are eager to help arrange explorations of the surrounding wineries and restaurants. At the end of the day guests gather with the innkeepers to compare experiences over wine and tables laden with homemade appetizers.

All lodging accommodations are decorated with fine European antiques and offer king- or queen-sized beds, most of which are either feather or four-poster canopy. Bathrooms have either clawfoot tubs, etched glass stall showers or whirlpool tubs for two. Breakfast is served in the dining room, which features a hand-painted stamped tin ceiling. Each day brings new gourmet delights such as blueberry-stuffed French toast, basil-cheese strata, homemade granola, and fresh baked muffins.

St. Helena is a great place to visit and is located in the Napa Valley in California. They have different yearly holiday events including a 12 Days of Christmas event in which the city celebrates by tasting wines and various cuisines, and an Easter Egg Hunt for the children in the town. St. Helena, being in Napa Valley, is clearly famous for it's wineries. One popular family own vintage winery you can visit is the V. Sattui Winery. If you are looking for activities to do head down to Bothe-Napa Valley State Park where you will find many secluded trails for the various skill levels of hiking. When it is time to go and eat The Martini House offers Napa-style cuisine and has seasonal outdoor dining as well as a cellar bar. Another great choice would be The Rutherford Grill who serves American-style cuisine. The Rutherford Grill is a locals favorite and has an extensive wine menu.
