Encinitas is blessed with 6 miles of gorgeous beaches. Lovely Moonlight Beach is just 2 blocks away. We have beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and a surf board for you to use - free. Relax and have fun surfing, swimming, scuba diving, boogie-boarding, sunning, reading a book, jogging, joining a pick-up game of beach volleyball or just basking in the serenity of a delicious beach.

Our meditative waterfall is a quiet, contemplative place to read a book, enjoy your breakfast or sip a glass of wine in the evening. The gentle sounds of our waterfall will put you to sleep if you leave your window open a notch before going to bed.

Sunset is a special time at Moonlight Beach. Surfers, beach-goers, children, young lovers, business men and women all gather at the beaches for every sunset. It's a lovely ritual at a special time of day.

Dolphins and whales are regularly seen. If you're lucky, you'll see the famous "green flash" as the sun takes its final dip into the vast Pacific Ocean.

After sunset, take a romantic moonlit walk on the beach or simply relax on our front porch with a glass of wine or cup of tea and enjoy the evening twilight over the ocean.
