"I have traveled in so many countries, nowhere else have I been able to learn of any such combination of beautiful scenery and perfect climate, good fertile soil and every beauty of nature as with us. Nowhere else such a community of well-to-do, intelligent free people and where every one may be able to sit under his own vine and fig tree."
