A Brief History of the Two Mansions Both houses were built by James and John Marshall. The home at 2740 Telegraph Avenue was built in 1903. The Lott House was the actual carriage house of the Fay House. The Garden House was added sometime after the Second World War. The Cottage House was built in 1991. The original Marshall house at 2740 Telegraph was converted into a hotel in 1979. In 1984 the hotel was expanded by the acquisition of the second Marshall house. Gramma's Rose Garden Inn was originated by Kathy Kuhner in memory of her grandmother, Elizabeth Taber. Ms Taber was the inspiration for the gardens and the interiors. She loved chintz and china and roses and would certainly be fond of the gardens and property as it is today. We are just finishing an upgrade to the Inn. We are very proud of the repairs and have been able to update things with minimal inconvenience. Come experience the improvements for yourself.

Hotel email address or Innkeeper's email address. Cancellations or changes to reservation must be received by 12:00pm (Pacific time) 2 days prior to originally scheduled arrival date.
