Rendezvous, re-opening in January of 2008, has lead the mid-century modernism revival in a bold and colorful style. Featuring period furniture by Eames, Bertola, Miller, and others, all rooms and suites open onto the 1950's-style blue Astroturf sundeck with sparkling heated pool, spa, palm trees, and spectacular view of Mount San Jancinto. In the 1950s, this was a haven for stars like Marilyn Monroe and Gloria Swanson. Remodeled into an upscale Bed and Breakfast in 2007, Rendezvous is now a lively and lovely retreat for today's L.A. set. You too can stay in the Pretty in Pink Suite that was Marilyn's hideaway from the paparazzi decades ago. |

| The new look includes 1950s-themed rooms such as Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll, Rebel Without a Cause, Cowboys of the 50s, Crooners, and Detroit Iron, each decorated with fun, nostalgic memorabilia of that era. Rendezvous offers present-day comforts such as flat-screen TVs, DVD Players, silent A/C and heaters, high-speed wireless Internet, refrigerators, and microwaves in each room. Several rooms include comfortable private lounge areas, as well as two-person whirlpool tubs. |
