The new Inn at Playa del Rey is located close to the beach and overlooks both the main channel of Marina del Rey and a two hundred acre bird sanctuary. The Inn at Playa del Rey was the only California Bed & Breakfast Inn featured on America Online's "Inn of the Week". The Inn is "Spacious and Beautifully Decorated" ...AAA Tourbook.

All the Inn's 21 rooms are just as refreshing as the views and with distinctive decor. Rooms facing the wetlands have fireplaces, decks, Marina sailboat views, and Jacuzzi tubs. Two "Romance Suites" feature a fireplace in the bathroom next to a bubbling oversized Jacuzzi tub for two.

The Village of Playa del Rey offers a variety of restaurants and shops and is just five minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, making the Inn the only airport area hotel in Los Angeles - walking distance to the beach. Back at the Inn, enjoy wine and cheese, tea, cookies and lemonade in the afternoon - in the living room in front of the fire or out on our sun warmed decks.

Playa del Rey and its adjoining towns - Manhattan Beach and Marina del Rey offer a myriad of things to do -

• Start with buying a kite at the local kite store and taking it to the beach.
  
• Or stop in at the Audobon society down the street and find out what birds are currently in residence in the wetlands and how to spot them.
  
• Fish from the rocks.
  
• Rent roller blades and travel along the bike path by the water to Venice Beach.
  
• The new Getty Center is a twenty mintue drive, a fifty cent bus ride, and can be seen nestled in the mountains from all our view rooms.
  
• Walk to restaurants - A three minute drive or 20 minute walk to Marina del Rey brings over 20 restaurants to choose from.
  
• There is a free "Children's Touch Marine Museum" (not just for children) on the Pier in Manhattan Beach.
  
• There is a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy while walking along the ocean on the Strand.
  
• Bicycles are offered to our guests for the pleasure of the 30 mile oceanside bicycle path that starts three blocks from the Inn. Order a picnic from our neighborhood deli and bike north to Venice Beach or Malibu or to Manhattan Beach or Palos Verdes. This ride along the beach is Southern California at its most unforgettable.
  

At night, enjoy the rhythm of the steel drums at Mobay's, catch the street vendors and entertainers on 3rd Street Promenade, or laugh with Jay Leno Sunday nights in Hermosa Beach.
