Named for Charles Crocker, founder of the Central Pacific Railroad, the property began as a summer hunting ground often visited by Charles Crocker and his cronies, Leland Stanford, Mark Hopkins and Collis Huntington, the empire builders known to historians as California's Big Four.
The warm and inviting guest rooms and suites each offer a private entrance, private bath, and gas fireplace. Guests can relax in front of the fireplace in the lobby, enjoy the large, warm swimming pool, spend private time in the secluded spa, wander the grounds to view deer and quail, and partake of the exercise/massage room.

The Old Crocker Inn serves a delectable breakfast daily and gourmet dinners on weekends in the majestic dining room or on the spacious deck encircling the main lodge. The Inn's 5 acres offer guests a secluded, relaxing setting. There's an abundance of wildlife and bird watching is a favorite pastime. Deer wander, red-tailed fox prowl, quail dip and dance, and wild turkeys wallow. In the evening, the ducks come home to roost and the sky alights with stars. The large sparkling blue pool invites lapping, lounging, and sunbathing. The spa and exercise room help the muscles twine and unwind. (The pool and exercise room will be open later this year). Massages by a local masseuse can also be arranged. But even with all this, you may want to venture outwards. There's so much to do in and around Cloverdale! |
