Mendocino, California (CA) Bed & Breakfast: Six of our ten spacious guest rooms have fireplaces and two others offer ocean views. All have private baths and comfortable sitting areas. Each room is beautifully decorated with Early American antique and pine furnishings. There are five guest rooms in the Main House, as well as our charming parlor, a place to gather with fellow guests and enjoy the afternoon tea and sweets provided. The rest of the Joshua Grindle Inn's rooms are in two lovingly restored outbuildings behind the Main House.

A collection of breakfast delights from the Joshua Grindle Inn

Joshua Grindle Inn has gained an excellent culinary reputation over the years due to proprietor Arlene Moorehead's passion for creating and serving mouth watering dishes made with the freshest and healthiest ingredients available.

Guests' continual suggestion that the recipes be compiled in to a cookbook finally inspired Arlene and Jim to create this book as an extension of Joshua Grindle hospitality. Guests enjoy their visits and want to take a small part of the JGI Experience home with them. Making recipes from our cookbook is a wonderful way to savor the memories!

More than a Cookbook

Jim and Arlene felt it important to share with the readers a sense of place as well as a sense of taste. Interspersed throughout the book are short vignettes about the history and culture of the village, things to do, places to visit; all reasons to entice the reader to come visit this very special place on the rugged edge of the Pacific Ocean.
