Set along the Pacific coastline, Jenner, California, is the transition into coastal environment beginning around Duncan's Mills, completing at the river's last bend before flowing into the ocean. Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, located in Jenner, is a 500 acre primeval forest with trails, saved from lumber foresting in the 1870s. Camping is available in the adjacent Austin Creek State Recreation Area.
