If water sports are more you speed, then Lakes Nacimiento and San Antonio are your getaway for championship waterskiing and PWC excitement. The lakes are also perfect for bass fishing, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking or just a cool retreat from the summertime sun. Also, for those who love the ocean, the coast is only a 30-minute drive away and the southern gateway to the Big Sur coastline. If golfing is your passion, Hunter Ranch, a classic course with a four and a half star rating, offers a challenging 18 hole course through gently rolling terrain in a blue oak woodland. The Paso Robles Golf Club, an 18 hole Par 71 course, boasts affordable rates and is the perfect location for the low handicapper. After an active day of wine tasting, Bocci Ball may be more your pace. Many of the local wineries have courts for this traditional Italian sport of strategy and are open to the public.
