The Gate House Inn is a beautiful Historic Jackson mansion set amidst an area of landscaped lawns and gardens and surrounded by quiet and serene countryside. The expansive porches invite guests to "take in" the pristine countryside surrounding the inn. The large swimming pool and patio area are perfect for relaxation and intimate gatherings. The main house offers four elegantly appointed air-conditioned guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom. The traditional sitting room invites guests to gather together in a splendid Victorian setting. The original Italian marble fireplace adds a special warmth and glow. The formal family dining room welcomes you to dine in elegance. |

Just a few steps from the main house you will find the Summer House cottage. The Summer House cottage is an original building on the property dating back to the 1800's. It once served as the cookhouse. Today, it is a romantic guestroom that offers privacy, air conditioning, as well as a sensual Jacuzzi tub for two! Located within 5 miles of Sutter Creek as well as 1.4 miles to historic downtown Jackson. Easy access to the Kennedy Wheels Park as well as the wealth of wineries in the Amador County wine region which includes The Shenandoah Valley. |
| Breakfasts are elegantly presented at 9 AM in the formal dining room. There are many culinary delights to tempt your taste buds, several of which are created from family recipes and with ingredients grown locally or right here in the kitchen gardens (seasonal), even down to the edible flowers! Fresh fruits, coffee, teas, juices, and scones are all "tastefully presented". Guests will enjoy succulent entrees such as Angel French Toast, Dave's Italian Delight and Eggs Benedict, all delightfully served on lovely China. Private breakfast may be arranged upon request at time of booking. Any dietary restrictions need to be disclosed at time of booking in order for us to appropriately plan the menu. |

You can take a dip in the solar heated swimming pool, take in some rays while reclined on a lounge chair, engage in a hearty game of bocce ball, play a round or two of ping pong, relax on the porch with a loved one, or escape to a secluded garden nook with a good book. |
