Introduction
The Gables Wine Country Inn is the perfect Wine Country Bed and Breakfast for your next visit to the California wine country. The Gables is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion right in the center of California's spectacular Sonoma Wine Country. The Inn sits on three lush green acres with magnificent vineyard and valley views.
An easy one hour drive north of San Francisco, our Sonoma Bed and Breakfast provides easy access to more than 200 wineries spanning eleven appellations, including the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Sonoma Valley. Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, a giant California Redwoods Park is just twenty five minutes from the Gables, as is the scenic coastline of the Pacific Ocean. The popular town of Healdsburg is a short fifteen minute drive to the north.
Memorable gourmet dining completes the perfect wine country experience and the Sonoma Wine Country is home to many excellent restaurants, including the world renowned John Ash & Co., Zazu, a SF Chronicle top 100 pick, and chef Charlie Palmer's famous Dry Creek Kitchen.
Friendly, knowledgeable Innkeepers at The Gables Wine Country Inn provide unparalleled personalized service to assure that guests enjoy their Sonoma Wine Country vacation to the fullest and return again and again. One of our resources: Sonoma Wine Country Travel Planner.
The Parlor Suite
Breakfast at The Gables is Something Special.
Always fresh, always homemade, and always delicious. Your morning will begin with a fragrant blend of gourmet coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, followed by a fruit course such as our tropical fruit plate with Amaretto cream topping. Next comes what we're really famous for - our just baked pastries, made from scratch every morning. You will awaken to tempting blueberry streusel muffins or fragrant cinnamon rolls. Or how about a softball-sized popover, just begging you to slather it with creamy butter and fresh blackberry jam! Your entrée will be just as extraordinary. No bacon and eggs here, folks! Our guests just love our frittatas, for example a garden vegetable frittata served with sour cream and tomatoes. We're happy to share the recipe, if you'd care to try it at home.
