The city of Fortuna is located in Humboldt County, in the northern part of California. There are many local attractions for tourists to enjoy. They include the massive Redwood trees, some of which are over 2,500 years old, and the nearby Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary, which offers a walking tour to its visitors. Also not to be missed are the many festivals and events hosted here. They include the Fortuna Redwood AutoXpo in late July, a car show which features antique cars, tractors, and farm equipment. Also in July is the Redwood Fortuna Rodeo, which has been an area staple for almost 90 years. Hungary? Fortuna has some excellent restaurants. If you are looking for great Mexican dishes, the Aztec Grill is located downtown, and the Eel River Brewing Company, the first organic brewery in California, serves delicious meals and great beer.
