Ferndale is located in Northern California, right near the coast. Ferndale has many museums and historical sites that are definitely worth visiting. It has a cool climate as do many other northern cities. Nearby wineries make for great day trips. The Humboldt County Fair is the only major festival that occurs in the region, but it is a very lively fair. There aren't any featured restaurants in Ferndale, but the small chains are nice. There are also several excellent Ferndale Inn’s and Ferndale bed and breakfast’s that are worth exploring. The region is known for its B&B’s and they are definitely worth staying at.
