Crescent City is in Del Norte County, California, about fifteen miles south of the Oregon border. It is right on the coast and is home to about 4000 full-time residents. The nearby Pelican Bay State Prison provides employment for much of the town and was once home to the infamous Charles Manson. Crescent City is not large enough to have any major festivals of its own. However, it is home to the Battery Point Lighthouse and several California state parks. The Lost Monarch tree, near Crescent City, is one of the largest tress in the world. Near the city, you can see redwoods at Jedediah Smith or Del Norte State Park. Ocean World and Beachfront Park are tourist attractions that are located right in the town. The B&B’s in the area are few and far between. As a result, when you look for a Crescent City bed and breakfast or Crescent City inn, you might want to spend some time online finding the best place to stay.
