Welcome to Churchill Manor, a magnificent three-story mansion built in 1889. Inside you will discover grand parlors, a cheerful sunroom overlooking the gardens, and ten guestrooms featuring fireplaces, fine European antiques, and luxurious bathrooms. This setting is perfect for romantic getaways, family gatherings, and business meetings. The Manor is known nationwide for fabulous weddings and receptions. Located on an acre of perfectly-landscaped gardens in the City of Napa, Churchill Manor is well located for your Wine Country getaway. Built in 1889, this landmark inn is located in the founding neighborhood for Napa's elite and the flanking mansions provide the added sense of a forgotten era. It is an easy walk to the shops and restaurants in downtown Napa, across the Napa River pedestrian bridge. Within minutes, you can be touring the wineries on Highway 29, Silverado Trail, and COPIA's Wine, Food & the Arts Center. |

Churchill Manor's extensive front lawn areas are surrounded by tall privet hedges creating a welcome privacy to the whole yard. Along the hedge are flowering crabapple trees that transition nicely to the 100-year-old incense cedars and redwood trees. The yard itself is home to more than 55 varieties of tree roses and hundreds of Mediland roses, which are framed by boxwood hedges providing almost year-long color over much of the property. Overflowing pots of geraniums and annuals grace the front staircase and a formal fountain along the front walkway arises from a circle of miniature roses and seasonal annuals. The side gardens produce a varied texture of perennials and annuals, from coreopsis and daisies to petunias and begonias, dotting the landscape to create a canvas of color from April though October. Off season plantings of iris, daffodils, and cyclamen fill in the year's floral component. |

Churchill Manor has been lovingly restored and modernized for comfort and safety, but the mansion's impressive museum-quality woodwork and leaded glass remain completely intact. Feel free to relax in the grand parlors with wine and cheese served each evening. In the Library, one can settle into a good book or enjoy a movie on the large screen television discreetly placed in the corner. The adjacent dining room can accommodate intimate group dinners and meetings. By closing the giant solid redwood pocket doors, the inn's common areas can be divided into four separate break-out meeting rooms, with additional space available in the sunroom and on the expansive veranda. Guests enjoy a delicious full breakfast each morning in the original mosaic marble-tiled sunroom or alfresco on the veranda. |

Our morning chef uses only the freshest ingredients, buying organic and locally whenever possible. Enjoy muffins and croissants baked fresh each morning, gourmet coffee and orange juice, granola, and a beautiful display of freshly cut fruits. In addition, the chef prepares a changing selection of two daily breakfast entrees, such as wonderful omelets with sausage, French toast, or eggs Benedict. If you prefer a little more privacy, the veranda offers plenty of intimate eating areas where you can enjoy your gourmet breakfast in the morning, freshly baked cookies each afternoon, or a leisurely glass of wine in the evening. You may enjoy breakfast in our sunroom with its beautiful Mosaic marble-floor or the attached veranda with views of the gardens. Breakfast is served anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Coffee and Tea are available anytime. The morning papers are at your disposal to help you ease into the day and if you feel sociable, there is always plenty of conversation on hand. Make sure to check back in the sunroom throughout the day for cookies, lemonade and other treats. |

Churchill Manor's wine and cheese hour starts around 5:30 p.m. and continues until at least 7:30 p.m. or later depending on how much fun we are having. Enjoy specialty cheeses such as creamy Cambozola, smoked Gouda, sharp Cheddar, and Havarti dill, to name a few. We may serve a little Henry Marcel pate along with candied nuts or dried fruit. We leave it up to the inspiration of the evening! Napa Valley varietals are generously poured. This is a great way to relax after checking-in or after the day's exploration of the Napa Valley. It is also an excellent opportunity to talk with the innkeepers about restaurants as well as tomorrow's activities. We are delighted to share our favorite dining spots and can make reservations for you. In addition, guests often share their experiences with each other during the evening reception. |
Napa offers something for everyone. While the 45,000 acres of award-winning vineyards are world-renown, there are also many outdoor activities, spas, and fabulous restaurants to experience. There are almost as many ways to explore the Napa Wine Country as there are wines to choose from. Here are just some of the things to do.
