| Introduction |

The Chalfant House, a magnificently restored, old tyme home is located in Bishop California, a small western town in the shadow of the Majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains. Situated directly across from the public library, this quiet, yet centrally located bed and breakfast is just one block off Main Street, within walking distance to galleries, gift shops, and antique shops. It's just a short drive to beautiful mountain lakes and streams, museums and popular sites like the Bristle Cone Forest. Just point in any direction and there's something interesting to see and do. The inn was originally built in 1898 by Mr. Plesant A. Chalfant, Editor and Publisher of the first newspaper in the Owens Valley. |

Each guestroom is named after a member of the Chalfant Family and is tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, lovely antiques, handmade quilts and comforters. Guestrooms have private baths, ceiling fans, central air and are smoke free. A full complimentary gourmet breakfast featuring an entree, homemade breads, fresh fruit and juice is served every morning and is included in room rate. Rates are per night, based on double occupancy. Single rate is $5 less. Additional person in Suite Flora or Blanche is $20.
