There are garden areas for reading and relaxation, a secluded mile-long sandy beach leading to the Winchuck River, perfect for jogging or walking. A short walk down the beach will take you to the Nautical Inn for fine dining overlooking the Pacific. Many rivers and parks are nearby, with the Redwood National Park just 15 minutes away. Just 10 minutes away is Brookings, Oregon with many stores and tax free shopping -- and Rubio's Mexican Restaurant, which offers discounts to our guests. There are festivals throughout the summer, a local Performing Arts Center, a sports and commercial boat marina and boardwalk. Whale watchers gather in early spring and again from mid-December through New Year's to observe grey whales on their 1,000 mile migration from Alaska to Baja California.

Our goal at Casa Rubio is to offer privacy and an 'at home' feel to your stay. Once you have checked in at our office you are 'on your own' and if any needs arise you can come to the office and we will do whatever is needed to make your stay a pleasant one. After 10 years of offering lodging at our home, over 65% of our guests are repeats. Come see why!

The Casa Rubio is only 800 feet from the Oregon/California border. Its rare location places it ON the beach, not above it or near it. Easy to find, just off Highway 101 on Crissey Rd.

We do not accept online reservations or cancellations.
