This historical Victorian home, which is now the Calderwood Inn, was built in 1902 by the John Miller family, prominent area fruit growers and dehydraters of the early 1900s. It was built entirely of first-growth redwood, which you see throughout the home - from the fiery front porch planking to the wide-paneled walls in the dining room. John Miller was a personal friend of Luther Burbank, who assisted in producing and planting many of the older trees and gardens, still located on the property today.
A Warm Welcome Awaits You
Ancient cypress, redwood and cedar trees surround the Inn's lush gardens. Birds bathe in fountains and in the brook that winds into the koi pond below. An expansive covered porch with antique wicker furniture and porch swing is just perfect for taking in views of the gardens or for reading a favorite book.
