Aptos, California is known for their cinema which has become an independent movie company under Nickelodeon. On the Fourth of July, Aptos residents celebrate the "Worlds Shortest Parade," which only travels about one fourth of a mile. The Seacliff state beach is home to the concrete ship SS Palo Alto, and lies off of Highway one.
