Back to College

I just returned from Keene and it is starting to buzz with returning Keene State College students. The shops, especially Penelope's Consignment Shop, was busy with students and parents buying desks, lamps, bedspreads and curtains for dorm rooms. Keene's thrift stores and consignment shops make it easy to furnish a room or a house on a budget. I love drifting through a couple of times a month to see what some one was tired of using in their own home. As a chair caner, I sometimes feel like I am always on a mission to save every "Great Aunt Sadie's little side chair" from the dumpster. I have gotten some very cute chairs that just needed a seat replaced. And if I didn't find it, chances are good that who ever did will bring it to me for repair. Either way I'm happy that a chair is not going to waste. We are offering a Parent's Special rate for this weekend.
