Morning at The Mill House is my favorite time of day.  On weekday mornings I take a few minutes between preparing and serving breakfast to take my dog, Ruby, out for a walk on the tow path.  The rising sun seems to leave a special glow on the river.  This past week, as Ruby and I were on our way back to the inn, three bald eagles were sitting on the rocks in the middle of the Maumee River. Two mature eagles with their white heads and tails, and one immature eagle, just brown.  As I approached the banks of the river, they spread their wings and took flight to a near by tree across the river.  I need to remember to take my field glasses and camera in the mornings.  This is the day that the Lord has made...let us be glad and rejoice in it!!  And in the special surprises he creates for us!!
