Life of a River.....

The Maumee River, flowing from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the great lake of Erie, has a life of its own! Due to our lack of rain the last few months, the 'Muddy Maumee" has become more like a rain puddle.  It is fun to see the glacier grooves from many years ago and walk right across the river without getting wet.

There is always something new to see as you walk the tow path along the river.  Soon the tow path will be bustling with the historical encampment, a feathure of the upcoming Grand Rapids Applebutter Festival, Sunday, October 10th!

Remember, The Mill House has a backyard seat to the Maumee River and it's wildlife and rock formations!  Come enjoy the coming fall season in Grand Rapid's Ohio.
