Spring Has Arrived

Once again we are able to sit on the screened porch in amazement watching as the magnificent Withlacoochee State Forest bursts to life. The tender green grass in the pastures is too much for the deer to resist. Last night we counted 18 deer grazing near our fence line. The hummingbird feeders were hung by the porch and already we have a male and a female sipping the sweet nectar. This morning we observed two blue birds bringing hay and twigs into the new log cabin bird house. Soon we will be hearing the peeping of the hungry babies. What a blessing to sit quietly and enjoy the majesty of  God's creation and creatures.
