The Shadowbox is a microcinema dedicated to providing unique and innovative cinematic events that support the arts and cultural community of the Roanoke Valley.

Jason Garnett says "The Shadowbox will not only show the truly original and independent but also host energetic and fun cinema events.  My aim is to allow the audience to be more involved in the films they're watching and expose them to additional works. The lounge setting of The Shadowbox will allow room for possible pre-screening discussions, live music or contests - each tailored to the evening's piece. No matter what the film, I believe audience participation is the key to unifying an artistic community.  The Shadowbox will be a home where local filmmakers can have their voices screened.

With The Shadowbox's one of a kind film selections and events, it will enhance the cinematic experience and build upon Roanoke's current love affair with the visual arts."
