Franklin County Virginia has the last existing piece of this road called The Carolina Road out at our Waid Homestead - Your innkeeper Shellie at The Claiborne House Bed and Breakfast can give you directions to this spot just a few miles from the Town of Rocky Mount here in Franklin County Virginia.  You can also see a waterfall, catch a citation sized trout, mountain bike or ride the Pigg River Ramble at this same location.
