What's there to do in the Shenandoah Valley in August?

Luray Caverns

Take a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minute drive from Blueberry Hill Farm B & B) or hike the Appalachian Trail. It's much cooler in the mountains!

Explore a cavern, where the temperature is about 50 degrees. You'll need to take a sweater!  Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA is about 45 min away and Luray Caverns about 1 hour away.

Swim in beautiful Sherando Lake at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, about 40 min away.

In the evenings take in a Shakespearean play at the Blackfriars Theater (www.americanshakespearecenter.com) in Staunton, or in Lexington go to a show at the Lime Kiln Theater (www.theateratlimekiln.com) or the Virginia Horse Center (www.horsecenter.org)
