There's a Real Nightlife in Staunton, VA, Now!

Staunton's historic downtown area has developed a real nightlife recently, enhanced by the opening of the Mockingbird Restaurant this year. The Mockingbird specializes in artisan fare and roots music, with performances in the Music Hall most evenings and Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on Sundays. Check out the schedule of events at www.mockingbird123.com. Besides the American Shakespeare Center's Blackfriars Theater (mentionned in last posting) you will find the Clock Tower Tavern, and Shenandoah Pizza which have music and entertainment. The Visualite Theater plays first run independent films. For after theatre sweets, Coffee on the Corner and The Split Banana are within easy walking distance.  The above picture is of Staunton's signature Big Watering Can at the entrance to the downtown historic district. The photo was taken by Roger Neil. Check out his website at www.rogerneilphotography.com for more great photography.
