Built in 1892, Ryan's Bed and Breakfast is a lovingly restored Victorian heritage home in downtown Victoria. Perfect for a romantic getaway, your Irish hosts, Frank & Sheila Ryan, will help make your stay in Canada's garden city a unique and memorable one. Ryan's was built by Henry Beynon Young, one of the city's biggest merchants, as a wedding gift to his bride. Situated on a large, private garden site with outstanding architectural detail both inside and out, Ryan's exudes an atmosphere of a bygone era. Our public areas are particularly elegant, decorated with oil paintings with heavy gilded frames, china cabinets, chaise lounges, overstuffed couches, beautiful Kerman rugs and fine architectural features. |

The dining room features the original oak buffet and fir mantelpiece with the wonderfully ornate joinery characteristic of the Victorian period. There are lots of quiet little spots on our veranda or in our beautiful Victorian garden for our guests to relax spring through fall. Each day at Ryan's starts with a hearty gourmet breakfast beautifully presented in our large dining room with homemade jams and jellies, scones, and fresh fruit muffins.
