The Inn is located directly on the shore of the west arm of Kootenay Lake, in southeast British Columbia, Canada exactly half-way between Vancouver and Calgary, and about 30 miles north of the U.S. border. There are daily flights from Vancouver and Calgary into Castlegar Airport (a one hour flight) and we are a 35-minute drive from the airport. Those people coming from the U.S. may want to fly into Spokane, Washington. Nelson is a 3 hour drive north from the Spokane Airport. Emerald Lakes Bed & Breakfast Inn offers an extensive array of amenities. In addition to gourmet breakfasts that are tailored to special dietary requests, guests can swim in the indoor pool, warm up in the aromatic cedar sauna, or relax in one of three, two-person Jacuzzis. The patio, private beach, gazebo and dock offer the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. For entertainment, select a video from an extensive collection or play the piano. A small refrigerator and microwave are available in the guest lounge. Tea and coffee are supplied both in the guest lounge and in guest bathrooms. |

| Your host is a gourmet cook, who loves entertaining in style and delights in setting elegant tables and in producing mouth-watering delicacies in her remarkable kitchen. Emerald Lakes takes pride in transforming breakfast into a meal that is truly memorable. Salmon Eggs Benedict with Lime Hollandaise, Vanilla Anise Waffles with Sugared Blueberries & Strawberries, our special Mango Bread with Maple Butter and Creamed Eggs in Brioche with Asparagus are just a few of the dishes offered.
