I have lived in many places including NYC, Boulder CO, Paradise Valley AZ, Westchester County NY, and traveled to many more exotic areas in Japan, China, Africa, Costa Rica, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, most of Western Europe and England, but I choose to be here for the serenity and beauty of the land. The rich native culture also warms my heart.

The Annabel Inn is a central, but affordable, location from which to explore our stunning Verde Valley and all it has to offer. It is also the first and only Bed and Breakfast in all of Cottonwood! The Verde River snakes along Old Town and through the Verde Valley, providing migrating routes for birds, and supplying the Valley with recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, canoeing, bird watching, or just dipping your toes in.

Europe is a big and varied place, so it is a melange. I incorporate the heritages of both my father and mother's sides of my family to create your breakfast. I use cheeses from Holland, espresso from Italy, jams from France, dark breads from Germany, and to add the touch of the Midi-Pyrenees I like to always have some fresh herbs from the garden. Because there are so many specific diets these days, please let me know your dietary preferences and I will accommodate you. From raw and organic to full fat indulgent, I am prepared to serve you a high quality breakfast that will make you happy that you stayed here!

My great-grandmother Eleanor Wendeborn, born in Germany, lived to be just a few weeks shy of 106. This reflected her dedication to wholesome and nutritious eating. As matriarch of our family, she never let a meal go by without reminding us to chew slowly, not drink liquids with our meals, eat things that are whole grains and not processed or refined, and then take plenty of vitamins and supplements! I have rolled oats, oat bran, 7-grain cereal, organic cold cereals, nutritious sprouted breads, herbal and green teas, top quality yogurt, carob, nuts and seeds, organic eggs and milk, and a fresh and dried fruit selection. The food is a blend of the most wholesome nutrition and the highest quality indulgences. Please let me know which you prefer so that I am best prepared for your visit. Breakfast is served in the dining area and can be carried out to the patio.

La Petite Chambre (The Little Room)
It is ideal for a single person, but can sleep two. Includes a mirrored double closet, full bed with top quality linens, TV with satellite, alarm clock, and wireless internet access. La Chambre du Midi and La Petite Chambre shared bathroom includes shampoo, body and hand washes that are all organic.* Room rate is for single or double occupancy and includes a full European Breakfast for two: $79 plus tax

La Chambre D'Or (The Gold Room)
La Chambre D'Or is a nicely sized room for a couple to stay in. You will sink into the luxurious queen bed with top quality linens. Other amenities include gold-framed mirrors and a mirrored double closet, TV with satellite, gilded lamps have plug-ins for cellphones and other rechargeable items, wireless internet, alarm clock and chocolates. There is also a small washroom with shower, sink and toilet. Shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash are all organic. Room rate is for single or double occupancy and includes a full European breakfast for two: $109 + tax

La Chambre du Midi (The "Midi" Bedroom)
This room is a mid-sized room and is nice for a couple to stay in. Includes a queen bed with top quality bedding in rich shades of red and creme with cool blue linens, a mirrored double closet, European photo and poster art, TV with satellite, wireless internet, floor fan, and alarm clock. La Chambre du Midi and La Petite Chambre shared bathroom includes shampoo, body and hand washes that are all organic.* Room rate is for single or double occupancy and includes a full European Breakfast for two: $89 plus tax

Rail Ride and Real Rest
Available all year 'round. Enjoy the Verde Canyon Railroad train by day and rest in our decadent bedding by night... Following package prices include Two nights stay, 4-Hour Train ride in First Class car, and full European breakfast both mornings - all for two: $378, Chambre D'Or $338, Chambre Du Midi $318, La Petite Chambre *mid-week rates are $20 less per package *to reduce your package to a one-night only stay, remove $89 from D'Or, $69 from Midi, $59 from Petite *subtract $40 for Coach Class train ride *Special Train rides that are higher in price will reflect a higher package price. • Reservations must be confirmed with a credit card deposit equal to one night's stay.
• Cash or check is preferred upon arrival.
• We require a two-night minimum stay.
• One night stays incur a $20 housekeeping fee.

• Quoted room tariffs do not include local taxes.

• Cancellation Policies
  • Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly.
  • Over 7 days: Cancellations with more than 7 days notice are subject to a $20 processing fee, which will be deducted from your deposit.
  • 7 days and under: We do not accept cancellations with less than 7 days notice because of the small size of our business.
  • Under 7 days: If we can rebook the room nights, we will be glad to provide you a gift certificate for a future stay.
