Introduction
Welcome to The Fig Tree Bed and Breakfast
A three room guest apartment in a charming turn-of-the-century house in the heart of downtown Tucson's historic Armory Park, just a short walk from the Convention Center, Temple of Music & Art & The Tucson Museum of Art. Some of Tucson's finest restaurants including: Barrio Restaurant, The Cup, Cafe Poca Cosa, and live music at the Hotel Congress and the Rialto Theater are a comfortable walk away.
Ever since planting fruit trees we have noticed an increase in the numbers of bird visitors. They range from Phainopepla and Woodpeckers to Hummingbirds, Cactus Wrens, an occasional Hooded Oriole and the very occasional Hawk. You are welcome to sit outside in the garden with a cup of coffee and the newspaper to enjoy the sights and sounds.
Welcome to Arizona's Second Largest City
Tucson is a growing metropolis of 1,000,000 that keeps getting better and better. The city's geography is a postcard image of cactus forests, rolling hills, and craggy mountains. National and State Parks and Forests ring the city. Tucson lies in the borderland, a region that blends the cultures of the United States and Mexico, and has a long history of settlement by ancient Native American peoples, Spanish explorers, and Anglo frontiersmen. The weather is mild nearly all the time, just right for all kinds of fun activities.
We think you'll agree, whether you're a new visitor or resident, just passing through, or a longtime resident re-discovering hometown treasures, Tucson is Real. Natural. Arizona.
