Introduction
Elden House is a comfortable, quiet retreat, amid giant Ponderosa Pines, rustling oaks, and wildflowers, that offers panoramic views of Mt. Elden. You can relax and unwind, read a good book, take a hike, ride a mountain bike, go sightseeing, and indulge yourself in a sumptuous breakfast and afternoon treats. We welcome your small pet.
We encourage you to do as much or as little as you desire; enjoy a respite from your hectic schedule.
Elden House caters to guests seeking a cool mountain getaway in summer, or the perfect cozy starting point for a Northern Arizona getaway in fall and winter. We offer four seasons of hospitality.
Elden House is located on about 1/3 acre near Historic downtown Flagstaff in a residential neighborhood with nicely landscaped yards, but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
A delicious gourmet breakfast, featuring Alison's favorites, is served between 8 - 9 a.m. each morning in our dining room, or weather permitting on the patio in the garden (in summer). Your breakfast may include fresh fruits, yogurt/fruit/granola parfait, fruit juices, a freshly baked selection of muffins and rolls, and a main entrée. Linger over that last cup of coffee and enjoy delightful conversation with other guests or plan you day of exploring. Special dietary needs can be readily accommodated with advance notice.
In summer, relax with a glass of iced tea and enjoy summer sunsets from the garden patio. In winter, curl up and relax by the fire (October to April) in the comfortable common room with a cup of hot cider and a book from our guest library.
Come to the mountains, to the pine-scented air and cool starry nights of northern Arizona.
The best amenity of all is our proximity to thousands of acres of Coconino National Forest.
