Upon entering the inn's expansive living room you notice fine woodwork throughout: beautiful Mexican mahogany doors and crown moldings, gleaming oak floors, an elegantly proportioned staircase. |

There are many special areas throughout the inn where you may gather with others or savor a bit of solitude. In the wonderful gardens you may find one of the innkeepers cutting herbs for the kitchen or flowers for your room. Inside, on a chilly desert evening, a wonderfully aromatic mesquite fire crackles in the hearth of the living room. Catalina Park Inn is superbly located on a quiet residential street in Tucson's West University Historic District. Within blocks are the University of Arizona and the eclectic shops and cafés of Fourth Avenue and University Boulevard. We are close enough to the major boulevards to make traveling to attractions in all direction convenient. |

Guestrooms are smartly appointed sanctuaries of privacy that combine time-tested standards with modern conveniences. There are six guest rooms in all: four in the main residence and two in a detached cottage that open to the walled courtyard. The East and West rooms on the second floor open to spacious private porches--the perfect place to enjoy a sunny morning or balmy evening. The inn now offers wireless high-speed internet access. Bring your wireless capable laptop and work anywhere on the property. We also have a computer work station in the Butler's Panty for checking email and surfing the web should you decide to leave your equipment at home. Each morning begins with a glorious breakfast in either the dramatic red dining room. Plenty of assertively brewed European-roast coffee accompanies house specialties such as Papaya & Lime Scones or Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Whatever the day's menu, you will feel sufficiently fueled to tackle a canyon hike, sight seeing or shopping spree. |
