Casa Sedona Baked Apples

6 large Granny Smith Apples 4 T. butter 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 t. cinnamon 1 t. nutmeg 1/2 t. clove Core apples to 1/2 inch from end, do not peel. Place in baking dish. Combine brown sugar and spices; sprinkle into each apple. Divide butter evenly and place inside each apple. Add 1/2 inch of water or apple juice to bottom of pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until fork slips through easily. Serves 12.
