The New York Times describes Jerome as "delightfully crusty" and you'll agree once you've tasted the homemade pies at the Red Rooster Cafe! Enjoy a great mining museum; also a ghost town just a mile from the town.
Montezuma's Castle: An amazing 20-story cliff dwelling dating back over 1000 years. Just off of I-17 near Sedona.
Prescott (60 miles): The first Territorial Capital of Arizona is an old western town, built around a courthouse square. Visit Whiskey Row and many antique shops, etc.
Flagstaff (30 miles): Visit the Lowell Observatory (where Pluto was discovered), Museum of Northern Arizona, Arizona Snowbowl, Walnut Canyon National Monument (cliff dwellings), Meteor Crater, and more. Home of Northern Arizona University.
