Casita Descriptions (5 Casitas - Double Occupancy)

Aside from each casitas distinctive characteristics described in more detail below, all casitas have separate outside entrances and private bathrooms with large walk-in saltillo tiled showers. Each casita has a queen sized bed with cotton linens and down comforters. The casitas have working wood burning fireplaces, inside and outside, a covered patio and small refrigerator and coffee-pot.

The Inn and surrounding orchard property is open only to guests, ensuring the ultimate in privacy and repose.

The Blue Door Casita

In a patio, tucked under the canopy of a mesquite tree, you will relax on the hand-made twig chaise lounges or on the benches and tables surrounding this casita. Birds of many colors visit the feeders and birdhouses that playfully dangle on the many porch overhangs. In cooler weather, enjoy a wood burning fireplace in this spacious and private suite with a comfortable down covered queen bed. The Blue Door casita is decorated with folk art, Carol's treasures, and regional books of interest. It has a large walk-in shower covered with Mexican saltillo tile, one of Carol's signature designs seen in all her casitas.

Garden View & Mountain View Casitas

In September 2000, Carol opened two new spacious casitas and dining room in a beautifully renovated barn that sits on the property. The garden view casita overlooks the gardens with a breathtaking sweep of the Sonoran desert, while the mountain view casita has an inspirational view of the red cliffs of Brandenburg Mountain to the North and Holy Joe peak to the East. The casitas are decorated in Carol's eclectic and colorful style, all offering private entry, absolute privacy and Carol's signature walk-in saltillo tile showers.

Take your morning coffee outside this casita as you sit overlooking the orchards and the Sonoran desert backdrop. Migrating songbirds make their nests in the whimsical birdhouses that surround this unique dwelling. Private fountains offer the continual relaxing sounds of running water. In cooler weather, sleep under a down comforter and enjoy the wood-burning fireplace while you read, write or simply relax. This casita has unique hand-made stonework designs built by Lazaro Cervantes the Artist Builder who works with Carol on all the Casitas.

Carol's Art Studio Casita

Carol's art studio has been the scene of many of her inspired artwork and designs. Her studio has been converted into the largest and most recently opened casita. You will find hand-planed timber walls and rafters held by a large textured tree trunk in the middle of this unique casita. The ambiance is sophisticated and rustic with brightly colored Persian Kilim rugs, hand painted art, and dried flowers. The patio is a work of art itself with hand made chairs, benches and tables, most with hand painted pillows or draped with brightly colored Mexican rugs.
