Arizona has been nicknamed the Grand Canyon State due to its most famous attraction. However, Arizona offers much more than just the Grand Canyon. There are many popular recreation areas and historic sights such as the Painted Desert and loads of recreational trails and state parks. Arizona is a great place to learn about Native American culture. There are small centers throughout Arizona, such as the Hopi Cultural Center and the Cave Creek Museum. You can also visit the largest reservation, Navajo Nation and any of the other fourteen Native American tribes on twenty reservations in Arizona.
