Taste of Thai
917 S. High Street
Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801
This is one of the most unique and luxurious Harrisonburg restaurants, and the perfect place to take that special someone during your trip to a Goshen bed and breakfast. Try out Taste of Thai's interesting spicy salads, or enjoy a hearty dish of fried tofu. The soups are excellent, most featuring seafood and tofu. Chef's specials include crystal shrimp walnuts, haddock fillet and ginger sauce, and whole red snapper, among others, and cost an average of $15. The entrees are easier on the budget at around $10 per dish and are mostly authentic Thai dishes, such as Goong Kratian Pik Thai, which is shrimp stir fried with ground white pepper sauce and garlic, or spicy squid. This restaurant is excellent for vegetarians, as there are a vast array of meatless dishes based on tofu, curry, or noodles and rice. Overall, Taste of Thai is a reasonably priced, classy place with beautiful decor and quality food. Go there for an exotic dining experience.

At the culturally stimulating Clementine Cafe you will find everything from falafel to West African ground nut soup to poblano gumbo. The choices may be a bit intimidating at first, but the prices are so customer-friendly that you will be trying new foods in no time. Picky eaters need not worry either, as there are plenty of less adventurous choices on the menu, like a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches and wraps, grilled salmon and filet mignon. Sandwiches, wraps and burgers cost around $7 to $9, while entrees cost anywhere from $11 and up. The live music and art displays are a real treat.
