The Vermont Country Club boasts of a world class golf course. About 4 kilometers from Shelburne, this course is located in the Burlington area. This course was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus and is comprised of 18 holes. The golf course is filled with scenic vistas and ponds, waterfalls and streams that maintain a refreshing atmosphere throughout the day.

A tour of the Shelburne Farm makes for a great outdoor activity. It's a true representation of nature and gives the visitors an in-depth view of life on a farm. This used to be a private estate that was founded in the 1880s, but has transformed into a 1,400-acre cultural center. The working dairy section is a great way to understand and learn about the process of making milk, cheese and other dairy products. You can also take a tour of the famous breeding barn at this farmstead. Ask for directions before you set out from your Shelburne Inn.

Visit the famous Shelburne Vineyard to take in the sights of this beautiful wine producing facility. This is a fairly new vineyard, as its first planting was in 1998. The vineyard tour is a great activity to undertake on your trip to Shelburne. You can participate in picking the grapes. Observe the way the wine is made and sample some of the aged wines at this vineyard. You can buy a few bottles of premium wine here.

This is a great indoor museum in Vermont, and it's also a great place if you wish to embark on some outdoor fun. The Museum hosts several concerts in its outdoor stadium. Famous bands perform here. The crowd that gathers during the concerts add spice to the atmosphere, as it's mostly a college crowd. There are several stalls that are put up in the concert area and offer several fun activities. Inquire about the performances before you set out to the museum.
