Middlebury parks are a great place to go to relax and take it easy. Middlebury features a large number of different parks. These are ideal for relaxing and enjoying the life outdoors. All of the parks have something different to offer people.
Krider Garden
Bristol Street
Krider Garden is nicknamed as the "World's Fair Garden," and this is on Bristol street. It's considered the best one of the Middlebury parks by many people. The gardens take their name from the designer, Krider Nurseries. The gardens were originally designed to be shown at the 1933 World's Fair held in Chicago. This should be close to your Middlebury Bed and Breakfast.
These gardens have carefully been restored to make them look as if they were created yesterday. The park is well cared for and looks similar to how it originally appeared. There are lots of things to enjoy in the park including toadstools, a pool, fountains, a lily pond and plenty of paths. There are also an impressive Dutch windmill and mill house. There are plenty of places where people can relax and eat, including picnic benches.
Middlebury Greenway Park
Wayne Street
This is one of the newest Middlebury parks in the area which is located next to Krider Garden. This has some great bike trails and footpaths which connect to the existing network of trails throughout the area. There are lots of things to do in this park including fishing off the pier, relaxing on benches and simply enjoying the beautiful flowers. There are also bicycle racks throughout the park which make it possible to keep your bike safe while you take time to enjoy the surroundings.
Wayne Street Trail
Wayne Street
The Wayne street trail is located close to the campus of the Middlebury school. It's a mile long and covered in asphalt. The trail runs through a retirement area of the town, which is very relaxing. There are also lots of churches and old lighthouses to enjoy on your way. You might be able to find a Middlebury Inn near this street.
East Park
State Road 13
East Park is close to Memorial Park, and although it's very small it is extremely popular. This is an old park which has been popular for more than 100 years. East Park is well looked after and has recently been completely redesigned. There are plenty of parking spaces available, which make it convenient and accessible. There is also a large basketball court and playground. The central location of the park means that it's normally host to several festivals throughout the year.
Troyer Park
Antler Drive
Troyer Park is a very small park which is built on land that was donated to the people from the developer of a nearby housing estate. The park offers picnic tables, benches, a playground and basketball courts. Troyer Park is a great place to visit.
