Located just south of the heart of Dallas, you will find 13 acres that boast some of the coolest museums in the state. The main museum takes you back to the era of the mid 1800s, with artifacts and furniture displayed to exhibit what life was like during this time period in Texas. After a good night's sleep at your Mineola Bed and Breakfast, head over to this 95-acre park for a little fresh air and a chance to stretch your legs. There are tons of animals to inspire visitors of all ages including bears, tigers, antelopes, monkeys and elephants. There is a huge eating dome located in the middle of the zoo, and a visitor-friendly gift shop that carries everything from postcards to stuffed animals. The park is so big you should plan on spending an entire afternoon with the animals.
