The Watertown Jazz Festival began in 1996 and has become a popular event in town, attracting over 5,000 people. The festival has grown through the years, and has opened its stage to a variety of jazz bands and solo artists. The festival once focused primarily on jazz, but is beginning to expand its stage to more diverse artists. The festival is located in the town's historic downtown area. You can enjoy live music, food vendors and craft booths set up by local artists. The festival takes place on the second Saturday of July, and the music begins about 3:00 in the afternoon. The last band takes the stage at 10:00 p.m.

Tennessee Renaissance Festival

The Tennessee Renaissance Festival is just south of  Watertown, TN and features a 16th century village with Renaissance music, food and crafts. More than 60 artisans come to the festival and set up their wares with all kinds of swords, jewels and more from the time period. The festival is only open certain days in May, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be in advance or at the gate and run $18 for adults, for the 2012 season. There are themed events each weekend. You will enjoy entertainment such as the International Jousting Tourney, a comedy knife throwing show, and a ton of other shows and musical talent. A tour of the Castle Gwen is included with your admission ticket. This is a fun way to spend the day before heading back to your Watertown bed and breakfast.

The Tojo Creek Gourd Gala and Art Festival is held on the fairgrounds in Lebanon, a town just north of Watertown, TN. The festival is held in July and features gourd art on display and on sale. There are other craft booths from local artists at the festival. There are prizes in several categories, and lots of things to see. The festival begins around 10:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.

The Wilson County Fair is the largest fair in the state of Tennessee. It attracts over half a million visitors each year, and is held in the town of Lebanon. There are competitions with prizes in more than 10 divisions. The stages at the fair are host to a variety of entertainers, from bluegrass to rock and roll. You can enjoy lots of attractions and rides as well as special days throughout the fair. It takes place in August of each year. Admission for 2011 is $7 at the gate. The fairgrounds are just north of your Watertown inn.
