The Sweet Tea Festival, held in August, takes place at Homestead Manor. This is a historical site indeed, as it's where the 1863 Battle of Thompson's Station was fought. Hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with plenty of tea, food and events such as the antique car show, Miss Sweet Tea Pageant, arts and crafts, corn hole tournament, entertainment and whole hog cooking. The Miss Sweet Tea Pageant begins around 10:30, with four age categories. The corn hole tournament, put on by the American Cornhole Association, starts at 10 a.m. with teams competing for a first place prize of $200. Players throw cornhole bags at a raised wooden platform with a hole at the end; the team that gets the most in wins. Festival proceeds go to Thompson's Station Battlefield Park and Outdoor Encounter organizations.

The Thompson's Station Fall Festival and Craft Fair takes place the third week of September at Thompson's Station Park. Crafters rent booths and sell their wares. If you visit during this time, stroll along and check out all the arts and crafts made and sold locally. Chat with friendly crafters and learn about how they made their creations. Food and other refreshments are on hand as well as entertainment. Proceeds go to the Town of Thompson's Station Community Association.
