New Hope Things to Do: Beautiful Scenic Drives

When it comes to New Hope things to do, scenic drives are plentiful. Surrounding your New Hope Inn are many beautiful views. There are exciting photo opportunities just around every bend in the road.

New Hope is known as the main attraction in Bucks County and is not far from Philadelphia and New York City. Because of its popularity, it is best to visit the town on a weekday. City visitors come to the area to shop, go to the playhouse and take in the history, but the highlight of a visit is the scenic drive along the Delaware River.

Route 32

The Delaware River Scenic drive can be picked up from any of the river towns. It runs on Route 32 and 532 in Pennsylvania and you can cross over the river to New Jersey Route 29. Along the way you will visit small town America. Enjoy the local shops, restaurants and historic sites. Antique shopping is plentiful.

Washington Crossing and Kintnersville

Two good starting places for your scenic trip would be Washington Crossing on the southern end of the route and Kintnersville on the northern end. Both are in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and are not far for New Hope Bed and Breakfast visitors. New Hope is located in the middle of these two towns. By following route 32 you will enjoy a fantastic scenic ride along the banks of the Delaware River from Washington Crossing to Kintnersville. The road is narrow and occasionally crosses the canal on small bridges.

New Hope and Lahaska

If you want a shorter version of the scenic drive, concentrate on the New Hope and Lahaska areas. This is very close for New Hope Inn travelers. Take in historic sites, visit small towns, enjoy the beauty of the rich farmlands and much more. This four mile drive along Lower York Road has several covered bridges.
