South Beach attractions are located in an unincorporated section of Lincoln County on Oregon's Northern coast. The authorities have dedicated their time to providing outstanding natural, historic, and recreational sites for the enjoyment of all ages.

Offering narrated tours of the ocean and bay, Marine Discovery Tours has made a one of a kind South Beach attraction for anyone visiting the Historic Bayfront District of Newport, Oregon. With only the finest accommodations, they lead you straight for whales, seals, and even microscopic sea life. They are very flexible with scheduling when you have a school or a large group and the tours are wheelchair accessible.

The Hatfield Marine Science Center is located in the South Beach attraction area of Newport, across Yaquina Bay from the harbor and very close to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The visitor center allows everyone to enjoy marine science and learn more about the natural world. Admission is free, but a small donation of $5 per person and $20 per family is suggested. During the summer the place is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 7 days a week. In the winter it is open Thursday through Monday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Labor Day until Memorial Day weekend, but closed for Christmas Eve & Day, New Years, and Thanksgiving.
3. Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area

Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area is located on a narrow point of land peeking out into the Pacific Ocean. It is at the north end of Newport, Oregon. This area provides visitors an accessible location to view the wildlife and ocean of the Pacific Coast. This place is not far from your South Beach Bed & Breakfast, the grounds are open every day of the year starting at sunrise with closing at sunset.
4. National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center

A critical piece of living history, the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center offers live demonstrations, programs, exhibits, presentations, special events, and more than four miles of trails. The site is open daily 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., April to October and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., November to March. However, it is closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day. Outside the Interpretive Center is always free, but from April to October it is $8 for two days per adults and children are free. From November to March adults pay $5 for a two-day ticket.
5. Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument

The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is located at the junction of three mountain ranges; the Cascade, Klamath, and Siskiyou. Although it is located about a 4-hour drive from your South Beach Inn, it is worth the visit. The place is known for its extreme biological diversity and numerous Native American archaeological sites.
